Wait-a-while

2. Wait-a-while (Yabulam)  Calamis australis
​

The wait-a-while berries and canes were eaten by indgenous people. Water can be drunk
by cutting the cane.  Cassowary find the beeries very tasty too. Canes were cleaned of their prickly coating and used as  construction materials in rainforest bush huts

浆果和藤可以烤着吃。割开藤可以获得水。也可用于建筑。

アボリジニーはこの実と茎を食べ、切った茎から水を飲んでいた。茎は住居を作るのにも使われていた。
