Lovely Fairy-wren

Malurus amabilis 13-14 cm
This species of fairy-wren has one of the smallest ranges of any Australian faiy wren, being confined to the wet tropics rainforest and especially rainforest edges. The male is very colourful (see photo) but the female is blue-grey above with grey-brown wings and pale breast and rump. |
