Meliphaga lewinii 19-22 cm
Found in rainforest usually above 200m and in Wet Eucalypt forests, woodlands and heaths. Sometimes mistaken for Yellow-spotted and Graceful Honeyeaters but is larger and darker. Eats insects in flight, fruit and nectar. Breeds mostly in August to January in a hanging nest in dense foliage.
