Keeping an eye on Kuranda endemic endangered frogs - funded by Landcare Australia
The focus of the project was three fold:
- Habitat restoration and maintenance of breeding sites vegetation by creating restoration plans for the top 10 priority creeks
- Enhancing creek line habitat through raising community awareness, increasing the number of frog friendly properties and engaging community members in restoration of good quality rainforest habitat - Ensuring a strategic approach for the future (whole of catchment approach) by creating a community led Action plan through workshops and working groups which will guide local conservation efforts andscientific research to ensure this species not only survives but thrives in the local environment.
