 Frog Habitat Project

Outcomes

Kuranda Tree Frog Action Plan

Video: Learn all about the project

Keeping an eye on Kuranda endemic endangered frogs - funded by Landcare Australia

The focus of the project was three fold:

- Habitat restoration and maintenance of breeding sites vegetation by creating restoration plans for the top 10 priority creeks

- Enhancing creek line habitat through raising community awareness,  increasing the number of frog friendly properties and engaging community members in restoration of good quality rainforest habitat

- Ensuring a strategic approach for the future (whole of catchment approach) by creating a community led Action plan through workshops and working groups which will guide local conservation efforts and
scientific research to ensure this species not only survives but thrives in the local environment.
